Hi everyone.
Recently a friend and myself have been working on creating a sports forum but the thing is we are stumped. We cannot think of a good name. Most of them have been taken.
It's an all around sports forum. NFL, NHL, MLB, NBA, NCAA, Soccer, etc.
Any possible name suggestions would be greatly appreciated. |

I live in the UK and love US sports, I've just got the new channel that air's US sports and I was wondering if anyone could tell me what sport season is about to start ie NBA, NFL, NBL etc? I'd like to start following it and watch all the games. I hate English sports real bad.
If anyone knows what season is starting and what websites I can use to follow stuff I'd be dead grateful. Thanks in advance

Wrestlers pass away much quicker than NBA, NFL and MLB stars. Is it because they injure their bodies alot?

People would have more money instead of wasting their time on ESPN, NFL Network, MLB Network, NBA TV, NHL Network, FOX Sports, etc. Those people have their millions. Now it is time to make yours. |

I love watching the american sports, MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, UFC etc. but I wasn't sure whether £9 extra a month would be worth it. |

| Resolved Question: Why doesn't the MLB (Major League Baseball) have cheerleaders? |
I actually haven't watched a baseball game in a while, perhaps this is why, but the two other major (NBA and NFL) sports in the US have cheerleaders. I don't think the NHL has cheerleaders either, but the arena isn't quite suited for having cheerleaders.
The only thing I can come up with is that baseball is one of the most traditional sports in the US and adding cheerleaders would move away from that tradition.
Many people are asking where would the cheerleaders stand.
In the NBA and NFL they go onto the court and field between timeouts, quarters and periods.
Can't they go on the field during timeout periods or 7th inning stretch?

| Resolved Question: This is a serious soccer question about popularity? |
In the USA, sports like football and basketball are very popular among inner city kids. The majority of pro athletes are african americans and many of them are from poor sections. Around 70-75% of the NFL is african american and about 85% of the NBA is african american. If more african americans are exposed to soccer, it would be more popular. Would the game grow more if its played by inner city kids?
@pat in the hat-Well I'm in the midwestern USA and kids don't know anything about soccer. They watched the WC and thats the 1st time the majority of them heard of like Messi or the other star soccer players..I don't even think they sell soccer stuff over here. If its played by inner city kids, it'll be way more popular. |
